L'mwewareale comprende l'mwfaIndo-Pacifico tropicale, alcune specie sono mwfqendemiche di singole isole oceaniche o arcipelaghi mentre altre sono diffuse su areali vastissimicite-ref-fishbase-2-0[2].

Sono pesci strettamente costieri. Vivono nelle mwgwbarriere corallinecite-ref-fishbase-2-1[2].

Descrizione
